Tern Verge S8i Folding Bike

The Tern Verge S8i is a versatile folding bike designed for commuting, travel, and everyday riding. Its low-maintenance drivetrain combines a Gates Carbon Drive belt with a Shimano Alfine 8-speed internally geared hub, providing smooth, quiet shifting without a traditional chain and derailleur.

Schwalbe Big Apple tires add comfort and puncture protection, while Shimano hydraulic disc brakes provide dependable stopping power in varying weather conditions. The adjustable Andros stem allows riders to quickly change their riding position without tools.

For everyday practicality, the Verge S8i includes integrated dynamo-powered lighting, fenders, and a rear cargo rack rated to carry up to 25 kg (55 lb). When it's time to store or transport the bike, it folds in approximately 10 seconds into a compact package.

The BioLogic Joule 3 dynamo hub generates electricity while the bicycle is moving, eliminating the need to recharge or replace batteries for the integrated lighting system.

The Joule 3 exceeds the High Efficiency (HE) 70% threshold and meets German StVZO requirements for a 6V/3W dynamo hub, allowing it to power both front and rear lights.
